DEPTH OF EXPERIENCE
Mark’s career spans senior roles in private practice, industry and consultancy, including as Chief Counsel for International Operations at
CH2M HILL, VP Legal at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, and Acting General Counsel for EDF Energy Nuclear Generation.
His has been closely involved in landmark projects such as the Sizewell C development, the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation reactor
procurement programme, the Chernobyl Shelter Implementation Plan, and the transformation of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories into Canada’s first GoCo.
He has held key roles in nuclear decommissioning programmes in EU accession States where this was a condition of accession and worked
on major infrastructure projects in the UK including Crossrail, Thames Tideway, London 2012 Olympic Games and also international projects
including the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Mark was a founding chair of the NIA Legal Affairs Working Group, Co-designed the ‘Nuclear Acquaint’ course with the Nuclear Department of MOD, is a Member of the International Nuclear Law Association and director of INLA (UK).
