DEPTH OF EXPERIENCE
Mark Richards is an experienced international lawyer, director and company secretary. He has worked as a senior partner in a renowned UK based international law firm, chief international counsel in a global US based engineering and programme management business, general counsel in a Canadian nuclear science and technology business and acting legal affairs director in a UK energy generation business.
He built and managed legal, audit, procurement, corporate secretariat, insurance and compliance teams, across diverse geographies and cultures within complex organisations. He works within senior executive management teams at board, corporate and programme levels. He leads organisational transformation including the design of appropriate governance, contracting and procurement strategies to underpin achievement of corporate or programme level metrics.
His experience and expertise is underpinned by strong: judgement, collegiate and collaborative inter-personal skills, experienced drafting and negotiation skills and commercially pragmatic acumen. He is also an accomplished conference speaker, chair and facilitator.
